Monash Council's Procurement policy complies with Section 186a of the Local Government Act 1989.

The Procurement policy encompasses the principles, processes and procedures applicable to Councils procurement of all goods, services and works.

 

The aim of Council's procurement policy is to ensure all procurement:

  • is conducted in an impartial, fair and ethical manner addressing probity standards
  • considers the impact on the community and the environment
  • achieves value for money and quality
  • can demonstrate that public money has been well spent
  • the procurement policy is being applied in a consistent manner in conjunction with best practice guidelines and Council's Tendering Policy and Terms and Condition
