NAIDOC Week 3–10 July 2016
Join us on the front lawn of the Monash Civic Centre for a traditional smoking ceremony and a performance by the Jindi Woraback Dancers.
This FREE event is at 293 Springvale Rd, Glen Waverley on Monday 4 July, at 12.30pm.
A FREE exhibition featuring artwork from participating local schools will be on at The Highway Gallery (14 The Highway, Mount Waverley) from 30 June – 10 July 2016.

Spear: A contemporary Aboriginal film told through movement, sound and dance, directed and crafted by one of Australia’s most celebrated artists, Stephen Page. Read more

Carols performer EOI's
The Monash Carols by Candlelight is one of the major community festivals presented by Council. The festival has an attendance in excess of 20,000 people.

Council are asking performers keen to be involved in this event to submit a Performer Expression of Interest Form.
This expression of interest is subject to Council approval. Council cannot guarantee that all performers who submit an Expression of Interest form will be successful.
Council will invite the performer to participate based on the following criteria:
- Availability of space in the program
- Submission* of appropriate documentation (Certificate of Currency) as per Council requirements
- Ability to meet rehearsal schedule (see terms and conditions on page 5 of the EOI).
Council reserves the right to refuse an application if performers do not meet the criteria set by Council (see above) or if Council deems the proposed performance to be unsuitable or inconsistent with the theme and vision for the event.
Expression of interest forms are available online via https://monash.smartygrants.com.au/2016CarolsPerformerEOI and will be open from Monday 1 August - Friday 26 August 2016.
