NEW WEBSITES

If you've been to Council's website recently, you may have noticed its brand new look.

The new website features all of the important information that has always been online, but adds some great new features, with an ever more user-friendly design.

Monash's Leisure Centres have also launched fantastic new websites, which include health and fitness tips, opening times and prices, membership information and a whole lot more.

So next time you're online make sure you click on our new site at www.monash.vic.gov.au and get all your fitness information at www.activemonash.com.au.

CYCLING IN MONASH

Have you been inspired by Cadel Evans' inspiriation Tour de France efforts?

Now is the time to get out your old mountain bike and get out and enjoy both the on-road and off-road bicycle paths in Monash.

The City of Monash has more than 49 km of off-road shared bicycle paths and 15 km of marked on-road bicycle routes for your cycling pleasure.

To see a map of all the areas you can ride, visit www.monash.vic.gov.au/recreation.

WINTER CONCERT

As the temperature cools down, why not warm yourself up with Monash's annual mid-year tradition, the Winter Concert Series.

Bookings will open soon for the final concert in the series, featuring the singing talents of the choral group, The Fifth Suit.

For more information about the concert and how to book your place, visit (monash) dot (vic) dot (gov) dot (au) forward slash (m) (a) (c) (d), or phone our Events and Festival hotline on 9-5-1-8 3-6-3-6.

SENIOR DRIVERS

Council is offering discounted 'refresher' driving lessons for older drivers. Take a drive with an experienced instructor to brush up on the latest road rule changes and help improve your confidence.

Lessons take just 45 minutes and are not 'tests', so you won't lose your licence as a result of the lesson.

Lessons normally cost $42, but will cost only $22 for the first 200 people to call Council's Positive Ageing and Lifestyle program on 9-5-1-8 3-5-8-5.

HARD RUBBISH

If you've got a TV on the blink or a fridge you no longer need... now is the time for you to get rid of it for free with Monash Council's annual hard and green waste collection.

Brochures will soon arrive in Monash letterboxes outlining the instructions for your collection and the date your house will be visited by our hard and green waste collectors.

For more information on the annual service, go to www.monash.vic.gov.au or asked to be transferred to the Recycling and Disposal Unit once we take your call.
