Further Business Education and Training

Context

Further education and training are vital to the ongoing improvement of Monash businesses. It is important for all businesses to continuously review their development needs, and to participate in appropriate courses that will strengthen their capacity to undertake new tasks.

Monash is unique with its excellent educational resources at tertiary and other levels. The key challenge is to support businesses in their training endeavours, and to link businesses into local training and research opportunities.

Key Actions

In response to these needs and issues, Council will:

Facilitate the provision of training and education workshops throughout the year that are relevant to the needs of Monash businesses
Support business training programs run by the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development and Business Victoria for individual companies
Promote appropriate business courses (with key contacts) offered by Monash and Deakin Universities, Holmesglen TAFE and other educational institutions
Encourage greater business links, research projects, and partnerships with local educational institutions
