Calling For World Environment Day Entries

The City of Monash World Environment Day Committee is now calling for registrations and submissions for the 2009 Awards.
These awards recognise the valuable contributions of individuals, households, community groups, business and schools.

Winners in each category will receive prizes at the Monash World Environment Awards ceremony in June 2009.

The 'Sustainable Business' Award provides businesses with an opportunity to showcase achievements and gain recognition for innovative projects, products or services that contribute to the sustainable development and liveability of our City.

The awards are sponsored by local businesses with a prize of $3000 awarded to the winner of the Sustainable Business category.

The City of Monash is seeking nominations from local businesses and organisations that have made a substantial effort to improve the sustainability of their workplace over the past 12 months. The closing date for nominations is Friday, 3 April 2009.

For information on registrations, nominations, categories and criteria, visit the Monash Monash World Environment Day Awards or telephone Susan Hill on 9518 3597. Entry forms can also be obtained from wed@monash.vic.gov.au.
