Young Achievement Australia Business Skills Program 2006
The City of Monash has again sponsored a Young Achievement Australia, Business Skills Program after the award winning success of the 2005 program.
Young Achievement Australia (YAA) is a non-government not-for-profit organisation that has been operating in Australia since 1977 and is committed to helping young Australians achieve by encouraging students to learn from and gain insight into the business world. Each year 6.5 million students in nearly 100 countries participate in business learning programs across the globe.
The City of Monash in partnership with YAA has provided the opportunity for 15 local young Australians to associate with the business community, government and education whilst contributing to their development and enhancement of business enterprise skills, capabilities and understanding. The program commenced in May and will run to November and will be one of 70 run across Australia in 2006.
This year 15 Tertiary students have been selected along with a number of local business and cadet mentors for the 2006 Program. The City of Monash sponsorship of the program is through the Economic Development Unit that will coordinate the program.
