Women in Business - 2006
On Wednesday, 21st June 2006, The City of Monash in conjunction with the Monash Business Awards launched its first "Women in Business" event at the Mulgrave Country Club. The Exhibition Showcase and Business Breakfast acknowledged the achievements and roles of women in and around the Monash business community.
The "Women in Business" event showcased over 30 exhibits from small to corporate businesses in the lead up to the Business Breakfast. The Exhibition Showcase provided networking opportunities for businesses, especially small businesses to build contacts, exchange ideas and create business alliances. The Exhibition showcased businesses, owned, managed and operated by women in a diverse range of business sectors.
The "Women in Business" Business Breakfast followed immediately, attended by over 200 business representatives.
With the success of the "Women in Business" event, it is planned to continue the theme and establish the event in the business event calendar for 2007.
