Construction of the Clayton Comminity Centre
Award winning construction company ProBuild Constructions (Aust) Pty Ltd has been awarded the contract to build the $25.7 million Clayton Community Centre.
Monash Council's contribution to the project is $17.6 million and the State Government's is $8.1 million.
The construction of the Centre is on schedule and expected to be completed by early 2008.
The concrete shells for the 25m, beach entry and learn to swim pools have been completed and test filling with bore water has been carried out. Following the 10-day water test period the pools will be emptied and the pool hall steelwork will be erected.
Formwork and reinforcement to the spa is currently being constructed.
Works are progressing according to the submitted building program with weather conditions not really having an impact on the project to date.
