Monash Small Business Working Together With Tertiary Education

2006 Monash Business Award winner Vogue Entertainment has recently partnered with Swinburne University, participating in their Industry Based Learning (IBL) Program.

The 2 organisations made contact initially at the Monash Women's Business Forum last year where Candice Taylor from Vogue Entertainment outlined plans for growth of the business with Karen Pomeranz, IBL manager at Swinburne University’s Lilydale campus The IBL program deploys undergraduates into the workforce for 6 or 12 months after they complete 2 years of their course. The program is offered within most faculties at both the Hawthorn and Lilydale campuses of Swinburne. Vogue Entertainment's 2 students come with a business and multi media background.

Through a simple process of needs analysis, role descriptions and candidate interviews, Vogue Entertainment was able to sponsor 2 full time student s under the IBL scholarship system.

Vogue Entertainment reports very positive progress.

"Through our selection process, we have engaged 2 very talented students with bright futures. They are already producing valuable and profitable work after just 2 weeks. The full time IBL scholarship is very affordable for small business and is a simple process to begin," said Vogue Entertainment Managing Director, Jeremy LaBrooy.

If you're interested to find out more the IBL program and how it can assist your business, contact Karen Pomeranz on 9215 7136.
