Young Achievers Receive Award Recognition

The City of Monash, Young Achievement Australia Business Group, "Innovatya" again excelled at the YAA 2006 Victorian Trade Show at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

More than 40 business groups from around the State displayed and promoted their products to the Victorian public with the Monash Group "Innovatya" taking out the following Victorian Trade Show Awards:
  • FIRST PLACE - RETAIL OPERATIONS, YAA VIC. TRADE SHOW
  • SECOND PLACE - OVERALL STATE WINNER, YAA VIC.TRADE SHOW
  • SECOND PLACE - MARkETING, YAA VIC. TRADE SHOW
The City of Monash is again proud sponsors of the Young Achievement Australia, (YAA) Business Skills Program, after the award winning success of last year's program. The Young Achievement Australia Program 2006 is facilitated by Council's Economic Development Team. A group of 15 tertiary students have been selected, along with a number of local business and cadet mentors, to take part in the program.

The Monash YAA Business Group will complete its business program at the end of October, with "Innovatya" now in the final stages of marketing their innovative product - Multi-Mitts. Multi-Mitts combines a glove, mitten and storage compartment all in one fun package, an innovative product that is appealing to all generations.
