CEO of Save Water Alliance Addresses The Economic Development Forum
The City of Monash, Economic Development Forum Committee held their last dinner for the year on Wednesday 17th October at the Monash Gallery of Art. Approximately 90 people attended the dinner.
The guest speaker at the dinner was Nigel Finney, CEO of the Save Water Alliance Inc, which is a not for profit association set up by the water corporations to accelerate the voluntary take up of water conservation by the community and business.
Nigel Finney outlined that water supply is down 30-35% and daily usage of water needs to be cut down by 25% per person. The Save Water Alliance provide a suite of complementary resources to companies and individuals that can be easily integrated into their existing water conservation programs to help save water.
The City of Monash Mayor, Cr Tom Morrissey launched the new "Economic Development Strategy 2008-2012" at the dinner.
The Strategy is designed to help encourage investment, business growth and employment opportunities. It also outlines the recent development in Monash and Economic Development's vision.
