Womens Business Network
The City of Monash launched its Womens Business Network in October 2009.
The launch was well attended and followed the success of the Women in Business Exhibition and Business Breakfast, which was first held in 2006.
Purpose
According to the 2006 Australian Bureau of Statistics Census, almost 40,000 women were employed in the City of Monash, with the median age of female employees at 40.5 years.
The Womens Business Network provides an opportunity for women to:- Meet other women running their own businesses, or working in the local area
- Hear guest speakers on various topics of interest
- Exchange ideas and
- Problem solve
It also presents an enjoyable forum to create valuable new contacts and potential new clients for their businesses.
Future Events
The Womens Business Network will run four (4) events per year, including the Women in Business Exhibition and Breakfast held every year in May.
Other events will be held in March, August, and October.
