Neighbourhood Houses

The best is just around the corner ! Come and visit your local Neighbourhood House.

Activities and classes, and in some cases child care, are offered on a community demand basis. Houses provide a supportive and friendly focal point in our community where people can come together to share a mutual interest, learn new skills and to generally support one another.

Houses are community managed and non-profit, making the cost of classes and child care very reasonable. Houses rely on community input in the way of suggestions, comments and volunteers to assist in their operations.

Some of the Neighbourhood Houses in the City of Monash provide childcare while you attend a class, group or activity, or provide the opportunity through the 'Take a Break' program to give you some free time to do some shopping or catch up with a friend.

Childcare fees are normally very low with discounts often available. To discuss your childcare needs ring one of the Houses for more details and to make a booking.

All child care services at Neighbourhood Houses are supervised by qualified child care staff.
