Food Surveillance
The provision of safe food, prepared in clean surroundings in a hygienic manner is the responsibility of all food businesses.
Council's Environmental Health Officers inspect all food businesses each year including large food manufacturers, aged care facilities, restaurants, take away food shops and temporary food stalls to ensure food safety standards are maintained. Samples of food are regularly tested and any complaints about food are promptly investigated.
