Syringe and Needle Disposal
Many people rely on using needles and syringes to maintain their own health or that of a family member.
Syringe needles, and other medical sharps, disposed in recycling and garbage bins pose a risk to workers at waste and recycling centres and other community members.
Container Availability
Syringe disposal containers are available from the Engineering Counter at the Civic Centre, the Oakleigh Service Centre and MonashLink Community Health Service. The containers are free of charge to Monash residents.
