Cr Gerry KOTTEK

OAKLEIGH WARD

Cr Gerry Kottek lives in the local community with his wife Deborah and three of their children. He is keen to be involved locally and sees Council as a natural extension of being community-minded. He has previously been involved with a number of school councils as well as sporting club committees and Neighbourhood Watch.

Cr Kottek is passionate about the environment on all levels (local, regional, state, national, and global) and is keen to see indigenous environments maintained and expanded within the City of Monash. He enjoys outdoor activities including camping, cycling, hiking, nature photography, following soccer and time with his family.

He has 27 years experience in the finance and technology industries, and is currently undertaking an MBA. Cr Kottek is keen to use his professional experience and local knowledge to make an active contribution to his community.

"As a local resident who uses schools, shops, parks, and other local amenities, I am committed to quality services in the City of Monash, and will provide strong and accountable representation for Monash citizens and local groups."
