Cr Micaela DRIEBERG

MULGRAVE WARD

Micaela is a Monash resident who was born and raised in Melbourne's south east and is the daughter of Sri Lankan-born parents.

"I actually have the honour of representing two communities - first and foremost the people of Monash in addition to the wider Sri Lankan community".

Micaela is looking forward to addressing her election promise of "restoring the balance" and increasing Council's focus on Mulgrave Ward.

"Mulgrave and Wheelers Hills are both fantastic suburbs to live in and I'm keen to ensure that they remain a priority area for Monash Council."

With two degrees; a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Health Promotion, Micaela has worked in the health industry for several years and now manages international development and health related projects for the Planning Institute Australia.

Micaela hopes to use her professional background to bring a healthy environment focus to council matters and ensure "the community's wellbeing is put first".

"Having worked in public health for many years, I am extremely passionate about and committed to improving our health and safety and ensuring access to council facilities that the entire community can benefit from."

In her spare time, Micaela enjoys watching movies, live bands, reading, spending time with family and friends and taking her beloved dogs Kobi and Ziggy on their daily walk.
