6th Annual Monash World Environment Day Awards

Environment Awards logo Join the City of Monash to celebrate World Environment Day in June 2008 by recognising outstanding contributions of individuals, households, schools, community groups, institutions, businesses and corporations that promote:
  • Equitable social environment;
  • Resilient local economy;
  • Sustainable natural & built environment; and
  • Vibrant cultural activity
for the lasting benefit to present and future generations.

The awards also promote an increase in community awareness of the multiple benefits to be gained from community action, involving partnerships and sustainable practices in a wide range of projects and activities.

Monash World Environment Day Awards - Categories

Prizes will be awards to the successful nominee for each of the following categories

AWARD CATEGORIES
  • Greenest Household
  • Sustainable New Building/Renovation
  • Sustainable Business
  • Community
  • School Poster Competition

Presentation of Awards

The presentation of Awards took place on Thursday, 5 June 2008, on World Environment Day, at an evening ceremony.

Part of the celebrations included a keynote address by a prominent speaker and static displays by community groups, local businesses and Council.
