Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC)

Council has established an environmental advisory committee to address sustainability issues in the City of Monash.

Councillors Stephen Dimopoulos, Denise McGill, Stephanie Perri and Jieh-Yung Lo have been appointed to the Environmental Advisory Committee and will be joined by community representatives with special interests and skills in the environment field as well as council staff, as technical support, in address issues facing the City of Monash regarding environmental sustainability.

Currently issues under investigation, but not limited to include:

  • Water Conservation

    • Water sensitive urban design
    • Water sensitive gardens
  • Flora and fauna conservation

    • Indigenous plants brochure
    • Gardens for wildlife
    • Weed eradication
