Pruning Works

Council inspects and where necessary prunes over 100,000 street trees on an annual cycle. See below for when pruning will occur in your neighbourhood.

If you are aware of any street tree that requires urgent maintenance, please phone Council on 9518 3555.

Written descriptions of the areas on this map are presented below the map.

The cyclic program is split into monthly areas with two areas programmed each month. The following monthly details identify the roads that border these areas.

January

• Highbury Road, Blackburn Road, High Street Road and Springvale Road.
• North Road, Warrigal Road, Centre Road and Clayton Road.

February

• Highbury Road, Springvale Road, High Street Road and Dandenong Creek.
• Wellington Road / North Road, Clayton Road, Centre Road, McNaughton Road, Dandenong Road and Blackburn Road.

March

• High Street Road, Warrigal Road, Waverley Road and Huntingdale Road.
• Wellington Road, Blackburn Road, Dandenong Road, McNaughton Road, Centre Road, Westall Road, Dandenong Road, Police Road, Albany Road, Tiverton Drive and Monash Freeway.

April

• High Street Road, Huntingdale Road, Waverley Road and Stephenson's Road.
• Wellington Road, Tiverton Drive, Albany Road, Police Road and Jackson's Road.

May

• High Street Road, Stephenson's Road, Waverley Road and Blackburn Road.
• Wellington Road, Jackson's Road, Police Road and Dandenong Creek.

June

• High Street Road, Blackburn Road, Waverley Road, Ivanhoe Street / Callaghan Avenue / Herriots Boulevard, Ferntree Gully Road and Springvale Road.
• Ferntree Gully Road, Lum Road, Wellington Road and Dandenong Creek.

July

• High Street Road, Springvale Road, Ferntree Gully Road and View Mount Road / Gallagher's Road.
• Ferntree Gully Road, Springvale Road, Wellington Road and Lum Road.

August

• High Street Road, Gallagher's Road / View Mount Road, Ferntree Gully Road and Dandenong Creek.

September

• Waverley Road, Warrigal Road, Monash Freeway, Ferntree Gully and Herriots Boulevard / Callaghan Avenue / Ivanhoe Street.

October

• Highbury Road, Warrigal Road, High Street Road and Huntingdale Road.
