Litter

Litter can have a major impact on our creeks, rivers and bay environments. Council provides bins in appropriate areas; however if bins are not available please take your rubbish home.

The City of Monash's Litter Prevention Strategy has been developed within the broad framework of the Victorian Litter Strategy Issues Paper.

It focuses on a strategy involving the three critical elements in changing littering behaviours: Education, Infrastructure, and Enforcement

Litter Offences

Please use litterbins for small litter items and remember that dumping household or business waste into these bins is illegal.

Littering offences can be reported directly by contacting the EPA on 1800 35 25 55 (24 hours), www.epa.vic.gov.au/reporting/litter.asp
