Water - Council Actions

The Water Use Management Strategy provides the framework to make the City's use of water more efficient, as well as to consider the use of alternative water sources for its operations. Council is committed to improving sustainable water use thru actions such as:
  • Using drought-resistant plant species
  • Improving Council irrigation systems
  • Decreasing water consumption in Council facilities
  • Increasing community awareness of water issues
  • Researching and developing new initiatives to minimise and optimise water use within Council activities

Water Saving Milestones

The City of Monash has undertaken an array of actions to limit the amount of water it uses in its daily actions.
