Water

Council consumed approximately 230 mega-litres of water in 2006/7 financial years, Council's efforts to reduce water consumption has resulted in a decrease of over 34% or 120 mega-litres compared to 2005/6.

Council uses water in a large array of its daily activities including watering of Public Open Spaces (e.g. sporting grounds and gardens); mains supply to buildings and facilities (e.g. Monash Aquatic & Recreation Centre, toilets, basins, amenity blocks, community centres, offices, showers in pavilions etc) and a variety of cleansing activities.
