Local Waterways

The City of Monash is home to the following Yarra River tributaries:
  • Scotchmans Creek,
  • Damper Creek,
  • Dandenong Creek, and
  • Gardiners Creek

In addition, there are many wetlands and other water bodies that contribute to our extensive network of local waterways, which are often surrounded by an abundance of native bushland.

Our local waterways provide habitat for aquatic freshwater species, birds and mammals.
