Flavours of Monash
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kilo Mince
- 1 onion
- 1 cabbage
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon syrup
Preparation:
- Mince onion, add to mince and mix with beaten egg and seasoning.
- Remove leaves from cabbage, cut away hard parts, add boiling water and simmer slowly until leaves are soft.
- Put mince in centre of cabbage leaf and roll up.
- Fry 1 sliced onion and then add 2 chopped tomatoes and add water to cover and when boiling add the cabbage leaves parcels for 30 minutes
- Add juice of lemon and syrup and place in casserole in 180° oven and bake until brown.
