About the site
Since the web site's launch in early 2000, its information content has continued to be built to make it more relevant to the Monash community. Additions to the site have been guided by feedback from site visitors and analysis of search requests. It is updated on a daily basis.
New look - February 2007
A review of the site has been done to improve navigation within the site and upgrade coding to make the site accessible to different platforms and devices (such as mobile phones and other hand held devices).
The site has also been designed to comply with the New World Wide Web Accessibility Guidelines recently announced by the World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative.
Maps OnlineResponding to "Online Services Survey" requests, a new interactive mapping tool has been added. Monash Maps now has more detailed information regarding the location of facilities and features within the City, and also aerial photographs of the City of Monash.
Changes in NavigationThe MAIN NAVIGATION appears at the top left hand side, and the SECOND level of navigation is placed under the Main Navigation. This design allows the site to be accessible to users with smaller screens (hand held devices), having only a different style assigned. Read more.
To make Main Navigation less complex:- Jobs and Forms and Permits were moved to the Direct Links section (displayed on every page)
- Council Meeting Papers and Publications are now in the About Council section, and
- Environment and History in the About the City section.
