You can now apply on-line for any advertised position at Monash City Council. Please read the attached position description and then complete the on-line submission form, making sure to complete all compulsory sections.

Online Job Application - STEPS TO FOLLOW
- Read the position description (if you cannot open PDF files on your computer, ring the Contact Person).
- Prepare/Update your resume (MS Word, Rich Text or plain text file only).
- Prepare a brief covering letter (MS Word, Rich Text or plain text file only).
Please do not attach any diplomas or certificates with the job application. They may be presented on being selected for interview.
ONLINE SUBMISSION
- STEP 1
- Complete the Online Application for Employment, making sure to fill in all compulsory sections.
This is only a brief statement - your resume and cover letter will provide us with more information.
Once you have completed the "Online Application for Employment", after clicking "Submit" you will be assigned an APPLICATION NUMBER and will be guided to STEP 2, where you can submit your resume and submit (or type) your cover letter.- STEP 2
- Attach your resume and covering letter - MS Word (.doc), Rich Text (.rtf) or plain text (.txt) file ONLY.
Alternatively you can type a brief covering letter on-line (up to 1000 characters). - Please do not attach or insert any type of document (reference, certificates, copies of diplomas etc.) into your resume or cover letter.
- Using Microsoft Word 2007:
Microsoft Office 2007 uses a new XML format (.docx extension). This format is not backwards compatible with previous versions of Microsoft Office.
You need to save your file as old Office format (.doc extension) before attaching it online (Word Options - file save options).
What if you will be disconnected (too slow connection, too big attachment) and your resume and cover letter will not be submitted?You can still send your documents by e-mail quoting your ' Application Number ', which will be assigned to you after 'Online Application For Employment - STEP 1' submission (write down this number for future reference).
