Traineeships

The City of Monash creates partnerships with several not for profit community based training companies and educational institutions to offer a variety of Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

These arrangements provide opportunities for individuals to develop practically based skills, whilst obtaining a nationally recognised certificate.

Our most popular programs are:

• Traineeship in Home and Community Care
  In the partnership with Holmesglen TAFE we offer the position of trainee to complete Certificate III in Home and Community Care. Trainees who undertake this qualification generally work in the community under regular supervision within clearly defined guidelines and service plans.
• Traineeship in Business Administration
  Trainees who participate in this program can gain valuable experience throughout departments of the City of Monash. This course will equip you to use a range of software applications, prepare financial documents and deliver quality customer service.
• Swimming Teachers
  Swimming Instructors must complete a Swimming Instructor course and CPR qualification. At the Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC), Clayton Aquatic and Health Club (CAHC) we are able to assist you with required 20 hours of teaching experience. MARC may assist you with maintaining your qualifications through internal training opportunities.
