The Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre provides the local community with a great variety of health, leisure and wellbeing services. Built on the former site of the Waverley Swimming Pool the Monash City Council invested approximately $17 million to position the facility as one of Australia's finest. The Centre opened on 10 December 2001.

The Centre employs professional staff and contractors to look after the facility and deliver a number of exceptional programs including:

1. Health Club (Members only)

Our qualified fitness professionals will work with you to help you reach your fitness goals. Our members have use of and access to:

• Gymnasium
• Fitness cinema
• Group Exercise Room:
  • With over 60 classes a week
  • We can help you find a class that is fun and suits your ability level
  • Older adults program and classes
• Exercise studio / multipurpose room
• Members Entry and Change Rooms

2. Group Exercise Classes ( Casual and Members )

3. Pools

(Accessable by casual entry but included in the membership)

You can add variety to your program, relax or rehabilitate in our range of heated pools including:

• 40 Metre Indoor Heated Wave Pool and toddler play pools
• 50 Metre Outdoor Heated Pool
• Indoor Heated Learn to Swim Pool
• 20 Metre Indoor Warm Water Exercise Pool

• Steam Room

4. Swim School

Since opening our Swim School has helped over 20,000 adults and kids to become safer, stronger swimmers.

Classes are available 7 days a week and cover the following age and ability levels:

• Nippers - Ages 6 months to 3 years
• Learn to swim - Ages 3 and up
• Adult - Learn to swim
• Adult Swim Club

5. Change Rooms

• Male Change Rooms
• Female Change Rooms
• Family and Disabled Change Rooms

6. Café

Offers great range of meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks.

7. Retail Outlet

Offers:

• A great range of male and female swimwear including kids, teenager and adults
• Goggles for all ages
• Flippers
• Kickboards
• Male and female gym wear

8. Crèche

Part time crèche from Monday to Friday.

9. Other facilities
