Correction
In Council Decisions of 6 June in the Monash Bulletin, a recommendation by Councillors Klisaris, Baines and Shiell proposing that Council begins the process to review Local Law No 3 to provide for the banning of smoking at some outdoor venues, was incorrectly recorded.
The recommendation, passed by Council, proposed the banning of smoking within 10 metres of all children's playgrounds; the banning of smoking around all playing fields and sporting grounds; the erection of signage to indicate designated areas as smoke-free; and that Council endeavour to have events run or sponsored by Council as smoke-free.
