Sir John Monash Community Awards

Nominations are continuing to flow in for the 10th annual Sir John Monash Community Awards to recognise the efforts of local residents who have given noteworthy service to the City and the community. The awards are made in three categories:

  • Community Leadership Award;
  • Volunteer of the Year Award; and
  • Young Volunteer Award.
Any person who is a resident, or former resident, of the City of Monash may be nominated for an award by any individual or community organisation, professional body or similar group. Awards will be made for special service to the City of Monash, or for service to a particular locality or field of activity, or to a particular group within the community.

The recipients of the Awards are selected by the Council of the City of Monash on the recommendation of the Mayor’s Community Award Advisory Committee.

The Sir John Monash Community Awards nomination form is available on request from the Monash City Council, 293 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley (contact Karyn Boardman on 9518 3509) or from Council's website FORMS. The form requests essential personal details of both the nominee and the nominator and must be completed in full.

 Nominations close on Friday, 23 June 2006.
