MARC Summer Hours
Opening hours for the Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre, 50 metre outdoor heated pool are:
  • Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 8am to 6pm
  • Public Holidays 9am to 5pm
(Closing times may vary)

 Enrolments for Term 4 - Swim School are now open.

Hours of operation and Term 4 Swim School enrolments commence 2 October.

Public Programs at the MGA - The Guardian Angel as Superhero in 17th Century Rome

Angels and archangels have been important images in Christian art for centuries. Join Dr Lisa Beaven, Lecturer Art and Visual Culture, La Trobe University for a presentation that will look at the renewed cult of angels at the beginning of the seventeenth century.

Held Tuesday, 10 October, 7pm for 7.30pm, 860 Ferntree Gully Road, Wheelers Hill. Cost is $6 Friends of MGA, $8 General admission (includes finger food and a glass of wine)

Walk in the Park

Monash Council's Maternal and Child Health Team are gearing up for this years annual Walk in the Park at Jells Park, on Thursday, 26 October from 9.30am to 1.00pm.

Pop your dancing shoes on, not only for the walk but for a boogie with performer Paul Jamieson the Music Man. The Stardust Fairy will also be making an appearance, including activities such as story time, hand painting, free child restraint fittings, displays from the Metropolitan Fire Brigade and Police, as well as Monash Council Children's services.

People can bring a picnic lunch or visit the Stadium café or the Jells Park Teahouse.

The Jells Park Waverley Netball Stadium is located at Waverley Road, Wheelers Hill (Melways 71 K6).

Pruning Works
Council prunes 100,000 street trees on an annual cycle. Three areas to commence in October are Glen Waverley bound by Highbury, Blackburn, High Street and Springvale Roads. Also Oakleigh Sth and Clayton bound by North, Warrigal, Centre and Clayton Roads.

 If you are aware of any street tree that requires urgent maintenance, please phone Council on 9518 3555.
