Dads On Deck
This is an opportunity to learn more about your young children in a relaxed informal environment. Hear from a Paediatric Dietician, Paediatric Dentist and Speech Pathologist who are also dads. A Paediatric Occupational Therapist will also talk about play and it's importance.

Ask all those questions which you never get around to asking.

Falling Through Days, Karina Grundy
Held from 28 June to 19 August

Karina Grundy reveals contemporary Australian family life in this humorous and insightful series of photographs about motherhood. Her new exhibition is a portrait of the contemporary Australian family. She has an eye for the social political barb, satirical comment and the ordinariness of the everyday.

Babes In Arms Exhibition Viewing
Parents and children are invited to a special 'Babes in Arms' session at Monash Gallery of Art. Karina Grundy will talk about her exhibition of photographs Falling Through Days. The talk will be followed by free coffee and baby cinos for each booking in the Gallery's cafe.

Interested in all aspects on illustration or writing history? Come along to our coming programs for the Monash Literature Festival.

Marc McBride has illustrated more than 100 book covers, countless magazines and has produced work for advertising campaigns. Marc has also had work exhibited with the New York Society of Illustrators.

Kristin Otto.. on Writing History
Kristin Otto's superbly entertaining history of the Yarra is laid bare and she traces the course of Melbourne's murky river. Affectionate and witty, with more meanders and diversions than the river itself, Yarra is both a fascinating read and a fitting tribute to the 'noble stream'.

Free Winter Concert
The Victoria Police Showband is a vibrant, dynamic group made up of instrumentalists and vocalists. The Showband performs jazz, swing, contemporary pop as well as music from the musicals and light opera.

Held on Sunday 17 June, Clayton Hall, 264 Clayton Road. Concert begins at 3pm with doors open at 2.30pm. No bookings required although seating is limited.

Community Arts Grants

Monash Council now invites grant submissions for arts and cultural projects/events to be held within Monash from December 2007 to November 2008.

Applications close - 5pm Friday, 7 September.

An information session providing applicants an overview of all aspects of the grant scheme and understanding of the process, will be held on Tuesday, 3 July, at the Civic Centre, Function Room, 293 Springvale Rd, Glen Waverley, from 6pm-7.30pm.
