Clayton Aquatics And Health Club
Swimmers will be able to enjoy the new Clayton Aquatic Centre in year-round comfort with the new indoor heated 25 metre pool, spa and beach entry play pool.
Monash's Recreation Services Manager, Ian Swan said that the Clayton Aquatics and Health Club now provides the local community with an affordable variety of health, leisure and wellbeing services.
"This fantastic new complex combines a health club with a swim school, aquatic facilities, gymnasium, café, library and theatrette making it a great place to relax, get fit or simply have some fun with your family and friends," said Mr Swan.
The new Clayton Aquatics Centre also caters for visitors with accessibility requirements by providing wet and dry wheelchair access, a lift, disabled toilets, change rooms and showers, wheelchair access to pools and a mobile pool hoist.
The Health Club’s qualified fitness professionals are there to help members reach their fitness goals. A fully equipped gym is outfitted with the latest running/walking machines, bikes and rowing machines, X-trainers and steppers, easy to use pin loaded weights and a large range of free weights.
"There are a wide range of group exercise classes to suit all ages, fitness levels and abilities. Our instructors can educate members in the use of a variety of state-of-the-art equipment in our Gymnasium and Fitness Cinema where you can watch your favourite free-to-air and Foxtel TV shows while you work out," said Mr Swan.
"There are currently special offers available where you can win a free term of swimming lessons and a six-month membership to the Health Club," said Mr Swan.
Entry to the swimming pools is $4.20 for a single visit and $2.90 for students, pensioners and seniors. There are a number of different membership packages available for the Health Club, Gymnasium and Aquatic Centre.
