The Secret To Carolyn's Cereal Success
As a teenager, Carolyn Creswell landed a part-time job hand-making muesli in a small kitchen. At 18, she and another part-timer each paid $1,000 for the small business and set about growing the company into a multi-million dollar Australian brand spanning 21 countries.
"Success is doing the best you can with what you have got. Attitude is everything. If you always think the glass is half full, you will find it rubs off on those around you and leads to a happier and healthier life," said Carolyn.
Carolyn will be sharing the secrets of her success at Monash's Women in Business Exhibition Showcase and Breakfast on Wednesday, 27 May.
Now married with three young children, she is also involved in the Body Shop's Business Babes program, which works to help disadvantaged women start their own businesses.
"I talk to the women about how I started my business and hope I can inspire them to do the same. A lot of people are quick to put things down to luck or fate, but that's not a healthy attitude to have. I just tell them, work hard and you'll make your own luck - I'm living proof!" said Carolyn.
