Sarah Hardy will be talking on her latest biography, Dame Joan Hammond – Love & Music, about the opera singer and golf champion who experienced many fateful twists of fortune – not least the burning of her home in the Ash Wednesday bush fire.
Sara Hardy is a biographer and playwright who originally worked as an actress.

Waleed Aly is a lecturer in politics at Monash University, Waleed's social and political commentary appears regularly in newspapers such as The Guardian, The Australian and The Age. Waleed also appears on ABC 774 and ABC 2 Breakfast News.
Matthew Ricketson is a journalist and academic. He has worked on staff at various newspapers and magazines, including The Age, The Australian and Time Australia magazine.
