'Body In The Library' & Historic Cemetery Tour

Mystery lovers and crime writing fans will find thrills and chills at Monash libraries in October at the fifth annual 'Body In The Library' lecture series.
Monash Mayor Paul Klisaris said that the Body In The Library series is another example of the quality literary events offered by Monash libraries throughout the year.
"Our libraries continue to provide creative, educational and engaging lecture series, workshops and events for library users across the municipality, as is evidenced by the 766,831 visits to our five branches since January 2009, said Cr Klisaris.
In addition to the lectures, an historic cemetery tour to celebrate Local History Week is scheduled with Helen Gobbi on 30 October, 2pm, leaving from Oakleigh Library to explore Oakleigh Pioneer Park. Helen is the author of 'Taking Its Place - A History of Oakleigh' and was the 2008 recipient of the Sir John Monash Community Leadership Award.
Here is the lecture schedule:- 8 October, Wheelers Hill Library, 2pm - with Robin Bowles, writer of the definitive book on the Jaidyn Leskie murder 'Justice Denied' and the disappearance and alleged murder of British tourist Peter Falconio 'Dead Centre'
- 15 October, Mount Waverley Library, 7pm - with Alan Whiticker, author of the true crime book '12 Crimes That Shocked Australia'
- 20 October, Clayton Library, 7pm - with Michael Kuzinly, practicing lawyer, author and host of Channel 31's 'A Life In Crime'
- 24 October, Glen Waverley Library, 2pm - with Jarad Henry, strategic advisor for Victoria Police and author of crime fiction books 'Head Shot' and 'Blood Sunset'
The lectures are free but bookings are required and can be made by calling your local library branch.
