Celebrating Monash Youth In Action
4 November 2009
Monash Youth and Family Services (MYFS) is throwing a party in the courtyard at Clayton Community Centre on 24 November to celebrate Council's newly adopted Action Plan for Young People.
Mayor Paul Klisaris said the party would provide an excellent opportunity for young people in Monash to check out the new plan and find out what activities and services are available to them.
"We have worked with young people in the City of Monash to develop this Plan for the future, which recognizes their contribution and role within the community and the challenges and opportunities that they will face over the next three years," said Cr Klisaris.
The Action Plan focuses on the needs of people aged 10 to 25 years in the City. This equates to over 37,000 people or 22% of the residential population.
