The tenth annual Clayton Street Festival is back this February, showcasing the diversity of the City of Monash.
The festival, to be held on Sunday, 26 February, will celebrate the multiculturalism of Monash with a wide range of activities including an Arts and Craft Workshop, 'Envirozone' hosted by gardening guru Vasili Kanidiadis from Channel 31's 'Vasili's Garden' and a Culture Coffee Tent, where people can sample coffee from countries around the world, including Ethiopia, Greece and Italy.
Monash Mayor Stefanie Perri said there would be something for every member of the family with free rides, market stalls, cultural food and street performers bringing their talents to Clayton.
"This is one of the largest events on the Monash calendar and each year the festival gets bigger and bigger and this year will be no exception," Cr Perri said.
"The Clayton Street Festival is a showcase of the multicultural diversity of Monash and brings our community together as part of a thoroughly entertaining day."
Once again, the Clayton community has put its support behind the event, with a range of community members getting actively involved in the festival, including performances from Manasis School of Greek dance and Culture, Westall Secondary College students, Stars of the Cook Islands, the Monash Concert Band and many more.
Entertainment will be provided by the famous Melbourne-based Brazilian reggae rhythm group Tumbarumba who will be taking to the main stage with their renowned beat-laden performance sure to get your feet moving.
The popular Youth Zone also returns with performances at the Youth Stage, as well as interactive workshops and a 'Chill Out' marquee.
