Payment of Third Instalment
Due Friday 29 February 2008
For those ratepayers who have elected to pay their 2007/08 rates by four (4) instalments, we remind you that the due date for the Third Instalment payment of Rates for 2007/08 is Friday 29 February 2008.
Instalment reminder notices were issued for this Third Instalment on 22 January 2008.
If you have not received a notice please contact the Rates Office on 9518 3497.
The Local Government Act 1989 requires Council to charge the interest from the due date of the overdue instalment until the payment is made.
For your convenience, Council offers a number of alternative methods to enable payment such as: Australia Post, Local Newsagencies (Displaying Bill Express Logo), Bpay, Payments Online, at Council Service Centres in Glen Waverley and Oakleigh or by mail. Please refer to the back of your Rate notice for details.
Payment of Rates In Full
Due Friday 15 February 2008
Ratepayers are reminded that the due date for the final payment of rates for 2007/2008 is Friday 15th February 2008 (excluding those already paying by instalments).
The Local Government Act 1989 requires Council to charge the interest from the date that Council declared the rates, up until the date of payment in full of those rates. Council has resolved that interest charges for 2007/2008 will apply from 1st July 2007.
For your convenience, Council offers a number of alternative methods to enable payment such as: Australia Post, Local Newsagencies (Displaying Bill Express Logo), Bpay, Payments Online, at Council Service Centres in Glen Waverley and Oakleigh or by mail.
