Payment Of Rates In Full
Due Thursday 15 February 2007
Ratepayers are reminded that the due date for the payment of rates in full for 2006/2007 is Thursday 15th February 2007 (this excludes those ratepayers paying by instalments).
Please ensure that your payment is received by this date as interest at the rate of 11.00% per annum, may be charged on any outstanding balance after this date.
The Local Government Act 1989 provides for Council to charge interest from the date that Council declared the rates, up until the date of 'payment in full' is made for outstanding rates. The declaration of rates for 2006/2007 was 1 July 2006.
Methods of Payment - Council offers a number of alternative methods for payment of rates including: - Australia Post, participating Local Newsagencies (displaying the Bill Express Logo), Bpay, Council's web site at Payments Online, at Council Service Centres in Glen Waverley and Oakleigh, or by mail. Please refer to the back of your Rate notice for details.
Payment of Third Instalment
Due Wednesday 28 February 2007 Those Ratepayers paying their Rates for 2006/07 by four (4) instalments, are reminded that the due date for the payment of the Third Instalment of Rates is Wednesday 28 February 2007.
Please ensure that your instalment payment is made on or before this date, as interest at the rate of 11.00% per annum, will be charged on any outstanding instalment balance after this date.
The Local Government Act 1989 provides for Council to charge interest from the due date of the overdue instalment until the payment is made.
Instalment reminder notices were issued for the Third Instalment on 19 January 2006. If you have not received a reminder notice please contact the Rate Office on 9518 3497.
