Eltham High School anniversary concert - 25 Years of Bands

Eltham High School is celebrating 25 Years of Bands with a milestone anniversary concert at 8.00pm on Thursday June 19th at the Robert Blackwood Hall, Monash University Clayton.

The evening will be hosted by ex-student band member Jennifer Adams and will feature six bands and several solo performers. One of the highlights will be the graduate band, showcasing the talent of ex-students from the past 25 years.

Tickets are $20 adults and $15 concession.

Monash University School of Music - Australian Legends Jazz

The Monash University School of Music - Conservatorium presents Australian Legends Jazz on 31 May, 2008 at 8pm in the Robert Blackwood Hall, Monash University, Clayton Campus.

2008 celebrates a lifetime contribution to Australian Jazz by leading Australian musician Don Burrows who turns 80 this year who is joined by Tony Gould AM on piano and Doug de Vries on guitar.

Peridot Theatre - comedy "The Memory of Water"

For its second production for 2008, Mt. Waverley's Peridot Theatre is presenting the English comedy "The Memory of Water" by Shelagh Stephenson, an affectionate, sharp and funny family comedy.

Three sisters meet on the eve of their mother's funeral; together they rumage through their memories, dredging up old stories, events and conflicts and as their emotions, differing memories and alcohol all take their toll, they slowly dissolve into an amiable chaos of hilarity and grief.

Performances will be held at Peridot's Unicorn Theatre, Lechte Road, Mt. waverley will run from May 2-17 at 8.15pm with Matinees on Sunday May 4 and Saturday May 10 at 2.15pm.

Southeastern Philharmonia Choir

The Southeastern Philharmonia choir is an enthusiastic ensemble formed in 1992 to extend amateurs, singing madrigals, classical, folk and musicals. The choir performs regularly at concerts, at civic, festival and other community events events and for hire, and in collaboration with other choirs and musical groups.
Conductor is Yanna Talpis, and accompanist is Roger King.

 Rehearsals 7:30 pm Mondays at St Lukes Uniting Church Essex Rd Mt Waverley.

Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA) presents changing exhibitions of contemporary Australian and international art.

Through our exhibitions, collection and public programs, MUMA makes an energetic contribution to, and interaction with, the intellectual and cultural life of the University and broader communities. Oakleigh City Band

Oakleigh City Band is a community brass band in the City of Monash. First formed in 1910, the Band is a marching band which performs the full repetoire of brass band music.

 We welcome new members and previous experience in brass bands is not essential. The Band by tradition participates in many municipal festivals and events in the City of Monash and elsewhere.

Monash Chorale

Monash Chorale is a community choir formed in 1995 by a group interested in fostering opportunities for choral singing in the City of Monash. Michael Loughlin was founding Musical Director and remains the choir's Patron.

The choir trains under the expert guidance of Mark Shiell and performs several concerts each year.
