September 1st is the Lort Smith Animal Hospital's Strays Birthday and you can help them Celebrate!

Strays Birthday encourages pet lovers to recognise and celebrate the important role pets play in our lives and at the same time acknowledges that for stray pets without a home or family, life is no party!

Here are a few ways you can help spread the word about Strays Birthday by:
  1. Join Strays Birthday by creating an online profile of your pet at www.straysbirthday.com
  2. Encourage your friends, family and workmates to join your team or donate online to your Strays Birthday profile.
  3. Hold a party for your pet on or around Strays Birthday - September 1 and invite people to make a donation to your pet in lieu of giving them a gift.
  4. Send an email to all of your friends, family and workmates with a link to either your pets profile or the home page (www.straysbirthday.com) and let them know how they can help save a stray pets life today!
The campaign has already begun and will peak on Strays Birthday, 1 September 2008 where we anticipate there will be thousands of birthday parties in celebration of loved pets!

By helping spread the word about Strays Birthday you can help raise $200,000 to support the Lort Smith Animal Hospital shelter program and help them increase their capacity to provide temporary accommodation, care, treatment and find new homes for stray dogs and cats over the coming year.
