Our branch also has various activity groups including movies, cards, theatre, luncheons and investment groups. Visitors are very welcome.

Waverley Retirement Activities Group - WRAG

WRAG caters for the interests of retired people from a calendar of 34 indoor and outdoor activities held on a regular basis.

Whether you seek engagement with sports eg. Golf, Cycling, Swimming, Table Tennis, or just plain walking; or to perhaps extend your leisure time into a game of cards, table top games, crafts, a dine out, or perhaps even a holiday, or time away with our Caravan group, you will find plenty of opportunities within WRAG to become involved with a friendly group enjoying their retirement.

Membership costs $5.00 per annum and further details can be obtained from our Membership Secretary (Rona) on 9574 8090. Ask for a copy of our Quarterly Newsletter which will provide you with an insight into the detail of our full range of Retirement Activities.

The Association represents self funded or partly self funded retirees by:-
  • Provision of relevant information on lifestyle issues
  • Advocacy to Government on issues that affect our well being
  • Campaigning for improved services
  • Local branch activities – both educational and social
Members receive a quarterly magazine filled with information and A.I.R. activities
The local Branch meets as follows:
  • General meetings – Mt Waverley Youth Centre. 45 Miller Cres 2.00 - 4.00pm. on 2nd Monday of Jan, March, May, July, Sep, Nov
  • Personal Investment Discussion Group – Alvie Hall, Alvie Rd., Mt Waverley 2.00 – 4.00pm. on 2nd Monday of Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct, Dec.

Combined Probus Club Of Waverley Gardens

The Combined Probus Club of Waverley Gardens meets monthly at Vegas function room, Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre, on the last Tuesday each month.

Men and ladies, outings and guest speakers etc. New members welcome.

Life Activities Club - Waverley

Who are we ?

Founded in December 1992. The club is designed to assist members who are approaching retirement, or who are retired, to prepare themselves for a happy, useful, stimulating, physical and mental healthy life.

What do we provide ?

An opportunity for people in our community to enjoy a wide range of activities on a regular basis.
Activities include: Armchair Travel, Book Club, Caravan and Camping, Cards-Hand & Foot, Cards -500, Cards-Solo, Chat & Chew, Computer Groups, Craft, Cycling, Dancing - Ballroom, Eat Out, Films, Gardening, Golf, Happy Hour, Music Listening, Line Dancing, Patchwork, Peridot Theatre, Rummiking, Scrabble, Table Tennis, Tai Chi, Trips, Walking Group, Watercolour Painting.
* Vacancies are available in many groups.

Club quarterly meetings are held at 8pm in the Mt Waverley Community Centre.

Visitors are welcome to attend these quarterly meetings where interesting speakers are a highlight of the evening.
