Mistreatment of older people is a complex and sensitive issue. It can include financial abuse, neglect, emotional or psychological abuse, restricting contact with friends or physical abuse.
We all want to be treated well and treated with respect as we age and no matter where we are in life.
This may sometimes get forgotten with the day to day pressures faced by both individuals and families. Come join us for morning tea and learn about:

MATURE AGED DRIVERS - Refresher Lessons
Take a drive with an experienced instructor to brush up on the latest road law changes and to help improve your confidence.
This is NOT a test. You will not lose your licence as a result of this lesson.
A 45 min session normally costs $42, but book through Council and pay $22!
To book your refresher lesson, contact the City of Monash Positive Ageing Officer on 9518 3585 or 9518 3649 business hours Mon – Fri.
Tips from some experienced drivers:- Avoid peak hour and night time driving
- Take a refresher lesson
- Avoid dangerous right hand turns – even if it means taking a longer route
- Be honest with yourself and your GP.

Waverley Retirement Activities Group (WRAG)
WRAG is the ‘umbrella organisation’ for over 30 leisure activity groups for the ‘over 50s’ living in and around the Monash / Glen Waverley area in Melbourne.
We are a non-profit, community-based organisation with about 500 members run by volunteers with support from the Monash City Council. We also hold regular functions and events and help make retirement fun.

On the first Wednesday of the month we meet in the Mt Waverley Community Centre, 47 Miller Crescent Mt Waverley at 1:15pm for a 1:30pm start.
The Glen Waverley / St Kilda Bus No 623 bus stop is opposite the Community Centre.
