Supporting our Community at Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching and Anglicare Dixon House are preparing to support our local community through what may be a difficult time of year.

Monash Youth and Family Services (MYFS) would greatly appreciate donations of Christmas food and gifts this year. In the current economic climate, it is preferred to receive a higher proportion of food to toys.

If goods could be delivered to MYFS, 14 Bogong Avenue, Glen Waverley by no later than the 7 December that would be greatly appreciated.

Waverley Emergency Adolescent Care (WEAC)

WEAC is a community based, non-profit agency working since 1985 with familes and teenagers in the City of Monash.

WEAC aims to prevent total family breakdown by providing an opportunity for time-out accommodation for teenagers, together with preventative or additional services such as meditation, family therapy and specialist counselling.

WEAC has a network of local support families who are trained and experienced volunteers who care about young people and believe in family life. If you want to become a foster carer please contact Margaret our Home Care Co-ordinator on 9563 2275 or visit the WEAC Website www.weac.org.au/
