New addition - Ducks - Zoe, Donald and Pricilla
Dora
This is one of our pets Dora. She is a Guinea pig and was born on April 17, 2010.
She also has 3 brothers and sisters.
They eat carrots and grass, and my kids really love playing with them!

Fruity
This is Fruity, our three year-old Lorikeet.
My son chose this name because he likes to eat fruit and he is very colourful.
Fruity does not eat bird seed like most other birds. Instead his diet consists of fruit and other liquids.
His favourite toy is a plastic ball which he enjoys kicking with his tiny feet, and he loves taking a bath in the kitchen sink.

Leonardo
This is the newest addition to our family, Leonardo. He is a Murray River Short Necked Turtle and is 5 months old.
Leonardo lives in a tank which has a special light to help him grow healthy. He has a dry area made from logs as well as a large amount of water to swim in. We've designed his enclosure to represent his natural habitat on the river.
His diet is made up of brine shrimp, blood worms and frozen small fish. He comes out of his enclosure sometimes and seems to enjoy walking around the tiles in our home. He hides in his shell when we move too quickly or make loud noises but most of the time his little head is out looking around. We've just built a pond in the back yard with lots of plants and rocks that he can use when hes a little older.
Turtles are great pets and although you can't handle them a lot, they are interesting to watch when they swim around. They live for about 30 years so you have to be prepared for the responsibility to care for them for a long time. We make sure that we put some time away each day to feed our turtle and check his tank and water so that he can keep living a happy and healthy long life in our family.

Minya
Minya is a sable ferret. She sadly is no longer with us, but managed to live to a ripe old age of 7 years which is pretty good going for a ferret.
Ferrets are just like kittens... very playful, cheeky and energetic - they make fantastic pets!
Her favourite food was fresh mince meat and warm milk.
She would always hide her toys around the house and enjoyed biting peoples feet - and sometimes wouldn't let go!

We are proud members of the Carlton Football Club. As the colder weather is now upon us we have the one scarf we share around in the backyard.

Our Mummy and Daddy spoil us rotten with fresh veggie scraps daily as a treat and our neighbours love us as we give them eggs!!!
We are most busy in winter time and when it rains. This of course is when there are lots of puddles. That's when we go snooping for snails and worms and get all wet and dirty.
We love our baby pool we were bought as a gift for the backyard when we first moved in and love bath time all the time…
