Clayton Community Centre

In its first full year of operation, the $24.2 million Clayton Community Centre has been enthusiastically embraced by the community, exceeding all projected targets and demand continues to grow.

This facility has demonstrated the successful funding partnership between Council and the State Government and continues to attract interest from other local, state and national planning authorities for its 'one-stop-shop' concept for community services.

Oakleigh Aquatic and Recreation Centre

The $9.21 million redevelopment of the Oakleigh Aquatic & Recreation Centre in Park Road is underway. This major capital work includes the refurbishment of the existing diving and 50 metre pools, construction of new interactive leisure water and spa areas, change room amenities, kiosk, landscaped parkland and improved accessibility to the Oakleigh Recreation Centre.

The redevelopment will also include a number of environmentally friendly provisions.

Electra Reserve Community Centre

Construction of the new $3.6 million Electra Community Centre in Ashwood commenced last January.

The new centre will house facilities for the Waverley Bridge Club, Ceres Calisthenics, the Monash Croquet Club and the Doberman Dog and Obedience Club and is expected to be completed in December 2009.
