Community Focused Services
Information Technology
The Information Technology strategy continued to be implemented in 2006/07 to ensure the maintenance of standards across Council. Infrastructure upgrades to server and desktop operating systems were a major activity conducted during the year.
Specific activities undertaken include the implementation of a new fleet management system, migration of the animal register and an upgrade to the email system incorporating more mobile access. Reviews of core corporate systems were also undertaken on the Land Information and Fixed Asset systems in preparation for major upgrades planned for the upcoming year.
