Transport Systems

Traffic Management

Local Area Traffic Management works included Haverbrack Drive, Mulgrave, roundabout installations in Flora Road and Burlington Street, Oakleigh, the installation of pedestrian crossings across Kingsway and Coleman Parade, Glen Waverley and isolated traffic management works continued with a combination of treatments installed for a total cost of $651,000.

 The Glen Waverley Rail Trail (shared footway) was completed from Syndal to Glen Waverley Station at a cost of $114,000.

Traffic and Parking Services

Contractors, Tenix Solutions Pty Ltd, continue to carry out the majority of the traffic and parking patrol in the City and all of the administration associated with parking infringements. The private contractor works in unison with Council's two in-house Traffic Officers who provide the other part of Traffic and Parking Services in Monash.

 A three-year contract with an option for a two-year extension has been let by Council and commenced on 1 April 2007.
