Indigenous Framework and Action Plan 2007 – 2011
Mayor's Foreword
On behalf of the Monash City Council, I am delighted to present to you the City of Monash Indigenous Action Plan 2007 – 2011.
The action plan has 4 key themes; organisational capacity, indigenous community engagement, promoting and celebrating indigenous culture and strengthening service delivery. Each of these themes will play a significant role in Council’s ability to appropriately respond and celebrate our Indigenous history.
This document recognises the achievements of Monash in the past in relation to our Indigenous history but also recognises the areas in which we can strengthen our response.
Council looks forward to working together with our Indigenous community to realise this plan.
